Terms of Service
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing and using Drivo Drive ("Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User" or "Car Owner") and Drivo Drive. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.
2. Nature of Service
Drivo Drive is a technology platform that connects car owners with professional independent driver partners. Drivo Drive is not a transportation provider or a recruitment agency. The driving service is provided by independent contractors ("Drivers") who are not employees of Drivo Drive.
3. User Eligibility & Vehicle Requirements
To use our service, you must be at least 18 years old and the legal owner of the vehicle or have explicit permission from the owner. You warrant that:
- The vehicle is in sound mechanical condition and regularly maintained.
- The vehicle has valid registration (RC), all mandatory legal documents, and PUC certificate.
- The vehicle has sufficient fuel for the intended journey.
- No illegal items or substances are present in the vehicle.
4. Pricing and Payment
Users agree to pay the fees displayed at the time of booking or as per our standard tariff:
- Service Fees: Calculated based on hours or flat rates (e.g., ₹500 for 4 hours).
- Night Allowance: A flat ₹200 applies to all trips involving hours between 8:00 PM and 6:00 AM.
- Outstation Bata: For outstation trips, users must provide the driver with basic meals and a place to rest, or pay the equivalent daily allowance.
- Tolls & Parking: All tolls, parking fees, and interstate permits are to be paid by the User.
- Payment: Payments must be made directly to the driver via UPI or Cash immediately upon trip completion.
5. Cancellation Policy
Cancellations are free up to 1 hour before the scheduled pickup time. For immediate bookings, a convenience fee of ₹50 may apply if the cancellation occurs after a driver has been assigned and dispatched.
6. Limitation of Liability
Drivo Drive facilitates connections after a 3-layer vetting process, but we are not liable for:
- Mechanical or structural failures of the vehicle during a trip.
- Loss of personal belongings left in the vehicle.
- Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
Users are responsible for ensuring the vehicle is fully compliant with local traffic laws. Drivo Drive will provide reasonable assistance and documentation in the event of any on-road incidents.
7. Prohibited Use
The service must not be used for any illegal activities, transporting contraband, or overloading the vehicle beyond its legal seating capacity. The driver reserves the right to refuse service if the vehicle is deemed unsafe or if the User is under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
8. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Kochi, Kerala.
